MARITIME MUSEUM

Located on the site of the former shipyard in Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive, the Museum’s buildings and exhibits relate the maritime history of the Charlevoix region, with special emphasis on the era of wooden schooners. The schooners (coastal vessels plying the St. Lawrence) were used to ship wood and merchandise between various sites along the St. Lawrence in the 19th and 20th centuries.
